Privacy Policy
Niyyah ("we," "our," or "the app") is a prayer companion that helps you track daily prayers, view prayer times, and build consistent habits. We respect your privacy and keep data collection minimal.
1.Information we collect
Location data: To show accurate prayer times for your area, we use your device location (city/coordinates). Location is used only to calculate prayer times and can be updated or disabled in Settings.
Prayer activity: When you mark prayers as complete, we store this on your device (e.g., which prayers you completed and when). This powers your streak and progress. We do not upload this to our servers unless you use optional cloud or backup features in the future.
Subscription and purchases: If you subscribe to Niyyah Pro, purchase and subscription status are processed by Apple (App Store) and by our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We do not store your payment details; we only receive information needed to grant or restore your Pro access.
Notifications: If you enable prayer reminders, we use your device's notification system and scheduled prayer times. We do not collect or store the content of your notifications.
2.How we use your information
We use the information above to: provide prayer times and reminders, track your progress and streaks, manage your Niyyah Pro subscription, and improve the app (e.g., fixing bugs and improving performance). We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3.Data storage and security
Most of your data (prayer completions, preferences, location choice) is stored locally on your device. Subscription status is validated via our subscription provider. We use standard security practices to protect any data we handle. You can reset or clear app data through your device settings or by reinstalling the app.
4.Third-party services
The app may use: RevenueCat for subscription management, Apple for in-app purchases and notifications, and Expo for push notifications and app infrastructure. Each has its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review them if you use related features.
5.Your choices and rights
You can turn off location access, disable notifications, or cancel your subscription at any time. To remove data stored on your device, clear app data or uninstall the app. For subscription requests, use your App Store account settings or contact us. If we process personal data in a way that gives you rights under applicable law (e.g., access or deletion), contact us and we will respond in line with those laws.
6.Children
Niyyah is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
7.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
